Managing Editor, TECHPOINT Africa

As the Managing Editor at Techpoint Africa, I lead a team of talented journalists and producers who deliver insights on startups, innovation, and policies in Africa. I joined the firm in 2019 as an intern and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Senior Reporter in 2021 and a Managing Editor in 2022.

I have co-created and co-hosted several podcasts, newsletters, and events that have expanded Techpoint's audience, revenue, and authority in the tech media space. Some of my notable achievements include interviewing Google's CEO Sundar Pichai, developing the Fintech Summit and the Lagos Startup Expo, and scripting and voicing episodes of the Built in Africa podcast that have reached over half a million listeners. I have also mentored interns and reporters who have become decent journalists and producers.

I have a BA in Philosophy and Religions from the University of Benin, where I developed my critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills. I'm currently an MTN Media Innovation Fellow at Pan Atlantic Univeristy, and a graduate of the Journalism AI Academy, at POLIS at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I am passionate about building products and systems that enhance the growth and sustainability of African media and technology firms. I also volunteer as a counsellor for a Christian teenage group in Nigeria, advising them on values and career development.
