Dr. Scott Timcke is a political economist of democracy and technology with experience in operations management in think tanks and academic institutions.

He has widely recognized expertise in democracy-related issues, including electoral processes and systems, constitutions, political participation, democracy assessment, gender issues, digital technologies, environmental issues, and the role of the state in promoting social and economic development.

During his 16 years of professional experience he has worked in and researched political dynamics in Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Germany and South Africa; 5 of these years were based at multi-national institutions. He has a track record of fundraising for democracy-related knowledge and capacity building projects. Other areas of expertise include development project monitoring, evaluation, evaluation, and implementation auditing. He has published three scholarly books which intervened in contemporary debates in philosophy, ethics and economics.
